The Ukrainian 40th Separate Coastal Defense Brigade has successfully carried out a swift and efficient strike using advanced technology. Their unmanned boat, Barracuda, was tasked with delivering FPV drones for a surprise attack on a Russian sea vessel, the brigade reported on their Telegram on October 20.

The operation was executed quickly and without risk to Ukrainian personnel, resulting in the destruction of enemy troops along with their ammunition. This successful use of modern technology shows its vital role in defense, saving lives of Ukrainian servicemen and enhancing operational effectiveness.

Earlier, the Royal Navy has begun testing sea drones equipped with FPV drones mounted on board—a concept first developed and successfully implemented by Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

Ukraine’s Navy had also recently destroyed an unidentified Russian maritime drone that entered Ukrainian territorial waters and posed a potential threat to civilian vessels.

Previously, Ukrainian military intelligence operatives destroyed a Russian patrol boat in the Black Sea near the occupied Kherson region using a precision-guided missile, Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence Directorate (HUR) reported.
