Ukrainian reconnaissance units detected a Russian ground robotic platform moving a 120-mm mortar toward Ukrainian positions. In response, Ukrainian forces deployed an FPV drone that successfully struck both the unmanned ground vehicle and the weapon it was transporting.

“Fighters of our brigade’s motorized infantry battalion destroyed a 2-in-1 target: an enemy ground robotic complex carrying a 120-mm mortar,” the unit wrote.

The engagement highlights the growing role of drones in countering emerging robotic systems on the battlefield, where unmanned platforms are increasingly used to transport weapons closer to frontline positions while reducing risks to personnel.

Earlier, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi said the share of effective fire damage and enemy destruction attributed to drone systems has surged from just 4% to 33%.
