UPD. RBC-Ukraine, citing sources in Ukraine’s Main Directorate of Intelligence (HUR), confirmed drone strikes hit the Tamanneftegaz marine oil terminal in Russia’s Krasnodar region

A drone attack that Russian authorities attributed to Ukraine damaged two vessels and two piers and sparked a major fire at a terminal in the Volna settlement in Russia’s Krasnodar region overnight, according to Russian regional authorities on December 22.

Krasnodar’s operational headquarters said the crews of the vessels were evacuated and there were no casualties. “Two piers and two vessels were damaged in the village of Volna due to a drone attack. Everyone on board the vessels was evacuated. There were no casualties among the crew or shore personnel.”

The headquarters said fires that broke out on the piers covered an area of 1,000 to 1,500 square meters and emergency services were working at the site.

Fire crews and other emergency teams are still working to put the fires out.

After the strike happened, Governor Veniamin Kondratyev held an emergency meeting with officials and the port owner, Michel Litvak, and sent his deputy Dmitry Maslov to the site to oversee the response, saying he’s keeping the situation under personal control.

At the same time, videos circulated showing Ukrainian strike drones hitting an oil refinery in Slavyansk‑na‑Kubani in Russia’s Krasnodar region, leading to explosions and a large fire, while Russia’s Ministry of Defense claimed to have intercepted dozens of drones over the region.
