The images show significant damage at the facility in the town of Livny, confirming earlier statements by regional governor Andrei Klychkov, who acknowledged a fire at “fuel and energy infrastructure facilities” in the Livensky district after the attack. Russian authorities did not initially disclose the extent of the damage.

Each storage tank at the Livny oil depot can hold up to 2,000 cubic meters of fuel, suggesting the strike resulted in the loss of a substantial volume of petroleum products, Radio Svoboda reported.

Previously, it was reported that strike drones hit the Orelnefteprodukt oil depot in the Russian city of Livny overnight, igniting a large fire at the facility, Russian outlet Astra reported.

Residents posted videos showing flames rising from the site. According to locals, at least two storage tanks appear to have caught fire. Regional officials later confirmed the attack.

“In the night, the Oryol region once again came under attack by UAVs, resulting in a fire at fuel-and-energy infrastructure facilities in the Livny district,” regional governor Andrei Klychkov said.

Authorities said no injuries were reported. Emergency crews from Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations were deployed to contain the blaze and assess the damage.
