Russia Burned Down Huge Coca-Cola Plant Near Kyiv—A Clear Signal to US, Zelenskyy Says

Russian forces launched a drone strike on a Coca-Cola production plant in the Kyiv region on September 3, causing a major fire at one of the largest beverage manufacturing facilities in Europe.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the strike in his evening video statement, emphasizing that Russian forces were fully aware of targeting a major American commercial asset.

The attack occurred during a broader daytime assault on the capital region involving strike drones.

"Today, the Russians struck a Coca-Cola plant with their drone. Coca-Cola is already such an enemy to them that they burn it with Shaheds. A clear Russian signal to America," Zelenskyy said.

The President noted that the Russian military uses its weapons to terrorize civilians, strain daily life, and inflict damage on the domestic economy.

The facility, located in the settlement of Velyka Dymerka in Kyiv Oblast, suffered a severe blaze following the strike, with video footage capturing thick smoke rising from the enterprise.

Previously, a Russian drone strike on the Ukrainian city of Dnipro resulted in significant damage to an oil processing facility owned by the US-based company Bunge, causing a spill of approximately 300 tons of oil onto major roadways.

Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov stated that the facility belonged to the St. Louis-based agribusiness and warned that the resulting spill rendered the city's embankment roads impassable for two to three days.

Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha emphasized that these deliberate attacks on American property demonstrated a complete disregard for international peace efforts.
