Ukrainian Drones Destroy Three Russian Smerch MLRS in Crimea and Hit Fuel Hub in Luhansk, Video

Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces (SBS) have carried out a series of deep strikes behind Russian lines, destroying three high-value multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) in temporarily occupied Crimea and a major fuel depot in the Luhansk region, Robert “Magyar” Brovdi, commander of the “Magyar Birds” drone unit, reported on his official Telegram channel on March 29.
In temporarily occupied Crimea, operators from the 1st Separate Center of the SBS targeted a Russian military base in the settlement of Sovkhozny in Crimea. The precision drone strikes completely destroyed three 300mm BM-30 “Smerch” or modernized “Tornado-S” rocket systems, along with their accompanying transport-loading vehicle (TZM).

Magyar highlighted the critical nature of these targets, noting that while the older Smerch systems fire unguided rockets up to 90 kilometers, the upgraded Tornado-S utilizes automated satellite guidance to strike targets up to 120 kilometers away. “There are fewer deadly spitters now,” the commander remarked regarding the successful elimination of the heavy firepower, Magyar wrote.
Simultaneously, the SBS executed a coordinated strike in the temporarily occupied Luhansk region. Working in tandem with intelligence from the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the drone operators incinerated multiple Russian fuel cisterns near the settlement of Novosvitlivka.
According to Magyar, both successful operations were coordinated by the newly established Deep Strike Center of the SBS, highlighting Ukraine’s growing capacity to systematically dismantle Russian logistics and heavy artillery deep within occupied territories.

The systematic targeting of high-value Russian assets in Crimea by the Unmanned Systems Forces (SBS) continues to severely degrade Moscow’s operational capabilities on the peninsula. Since its formation as a dedicated military branch, the SBS has repeatedly penetrated dense Russian air defense networks to destroy critical infrastructure and hardware.
Earlier in the year, coordinated deep-strike operations targeted advanced Russian radar installations, including P-18 “Terek” and RSP-6M2 systems, blinding Russian forces and clearing the way for subsequent strikes on long-range artillery and naval assets across occupied Crimea.
