Ukrainian Drones Reportedly Hit Ilsky Oil Refinery in Russia’s Krasnodar, Supplying Military Fuel

Ukrainian long-range drones targeted the Ilsky Oil Refinery in Russia’s Krasnodar region on July 7, resulting in a strike on one of the facility’s key technological units.
This was confirmed to Ukrinform by a source in Ukraine’s defense intelligence community.
The refinery, officially named the A. Shamar Ilsky Oil Refinery, is located in the Southern Federal District and is considered one of the leading oil processing facilities in the region.
The source told Ukrinform that the facility is operated by KNGK-INPZ and handles the reception, storage, and processing of hydrocarbon feedstock, with distribution of refined products via road and rail.
The operation was carried out by drones operated by the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense (HUR). Local Russian media also reported explosions at the site, suggesting physical damage to refinery infrastructure.
The Ukrinform source added that the Ilsky refinery is part of Russia’s defense-industrial complex and plays a direct role in supporting the country’s ongoing military campaign against Ukraine.
Earlier on July 7, suicide drones struck the Krasnozavodsk Chemical Plant in Russia’s Moscow region, a key supplier of explosives and components for missiles and artillery shells.
According to Ukraine’s Center for Countering Disinformation, the plant is part of Russia’s defense-industrial complex and operates under contracts with the Ministry of Defense and other security agencies. Eyewitnesses reported multiple explosions at the site.
