Ukrainian Drones Successfully Target Russian Fuel Depot in Adygea
Ukrainian drone strike puts Russian fuel depot near the runway of the Khanskaya military airfield in Adygea region on fire, Russian media outlet ASTRA reported on October 10.
The fire, which was detected by NASA’s fire monitoring system, is believed to have broken out at a fuel storage facility.
OSINT analyst, MT Anderson, suggested that the fire site could have housed either fuel tanks for aircraft or a stockpile of aviation bombs.
Local residents first reported the attack. Later, the head of Adygea region confirmed it and subsequent fire in the suburbs of Maykop and announced the evacuation of residents from the nearby village of Rodnikovy, which is adjacent to the Khanskaya military airfield.
Russian Ministry of Defense claims that Russia downed 72 Ukrainian strike UAVs overnight.
Earlier, Ukrainian strike ignited a major Russian fuel depot in temporarily occupied Feodosia, Crimea. It has been burning for three consecutive days following now following a successful strike by Ukrainian forces on October 7.
