Ukrainian FM to Discuss Military Aid and Sanctions Against Russia at G7 Meeting in Italy
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha will visit Italy to participate in the G7 ministerial meeting on November 25–26, reported the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on November 25.
During the first day of his visit, Sybiha will engage in bilateral discussions with Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, EU High Representative Josep Borrell, and ministers from the Global South.
On Tuesday, November 26, Sybiha will take part in a special G7 session dedicated to Ukraine.
He is also set to hold key meetings with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot, Canadian Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly, and German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock.
The focus of these talks will be strengthening international support for Ukraine amid recent Russian attacks, deployment of North Korean troops, an intercontinental ballistic missile strike on Ukraine, and continued airstrikes targeting civilians and critical infrastructure.
“The discussions will center on boosting military aid, intensifying sanctions against Russia, and advancing the Peace Formula and the UN Charter-based path toward a comprehensive and just peace,” the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry announced.
Earlier, Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha reaffirmed that Ukraine will not accept any peace proposals that compromise its sovereignty or territorial integrity.
