Ukrainian troops conducted a precision strike on July 12, 2025, neutralizing a Russian FPV-drone operator cell responsible for the attack that killed one-year-old Dmytryk in Kherson region.

On July 9, a Russian Molniya drone struck the yard of a private residence in the village of Pravdyne, Bilozerka community, killing one-year-old Dmytryk and wounding his grandmother as she shielded him.

Ukrainian intelligence traced the drone’s launch vector to the temporarily occupied town of Hola Prystan in Kherson region and pinpointed the enemy control post to a five-storey uninhabited building there.

Ukrainian General Staff confirmed that, within hours of the tragedy, Special Operations Forces directed five FPV-drones in four waves through the building’s upper-floor windows. “We have every reason to believe that all operators of the hostile strike drones implicated in this atrocity were destroyed,” says the statement.

The statement also emphasized that such precision actions demonstrate Ukraine’s resolve: “Our warriors will avenge every Russian fiend who comes here sowing death”.

Earlier, a UN commission concluded that Russian drone strikes on civilians in Kherson constitute crimes against humanity.
