Donetsk region
In the Oleksandrivka direction, geolocated videos from March 10 showed Ukrainian forces striking a Russian unit in Novohryhorivka. ISW assessed that this likely indicated the settlement’s liberation.
RBC-Ukraine also wrote that Russian forces attacked near Novohryhorivka and toward Verbove, while Ukrainian troops counterattacked near Hai.

On the Kostiantynivka-Druzhkivka tactical direction, Ukrainian troops recently carried out local operations to improve their positions and keep pressure on Russian forces, the report noted.
RBC-Ukraine also cited Southern Defense Forces spokesperson Vladyslav Voloshyn as stating that fighting for Novohryhorivka and Berezove continues and that there have been heavy Russian losses.

Zaporizhzhia region
In the Huliaipole sector, geolocated footage from March 11 showed Ukrainian forces clearing a residential building and basement in southeastern Rizdvianka, northwest of Huliaipole.
The report added that Russian troops attacked near Huliaipole and several nearby settlements, while Russian military bloggers claimed Ukrainian counterattacks were underway in some of those sites.

Ukrainian advancements came as Russian troops effectively trapped their own 122nd Motorized Rifle Regiment in Kupiansk after commanders prematurely reported parts of the city “captured” on paperwork while active fighting continued.
Because those coordinates were then listed as “rear areas,” assault groups in dense urban terrain were unable to request artillery support or reinforcements, the report said.
Fire missions against Ukrainian machine-gun and sniper positions were rejected since artillery units were acting on headquarters maps showing the areas as friendly-controlled, leaving Russian infantry exposed and unsupported.
