Ukrainian Forces Shoot Down Russian Su-25 Fighter Jet in Donetsk Region

On July 19, in the Pokrovsky direction of the Donetsk region, Ukrainian military forces successfully shot down a Russian Su-25 fighter jet attempting to attack Defense Forces positions. This achievement was accomplished by anti-aircraft soldiers from a separate mechanized brigade named after Colonel-General Mark Bezruchko.

“The downed Su-25 aircraft now burns in the steppes of the Ukrainian Donbas, marking another victory for the Ukrainian military. The precision, skill, and professionalism of the anti-aircraft fighters were pivotal in this operation, effectively reducing the Russian aviation fleet by one combat aircraft,” a statement came out from the operational-strategic group of forces Khortytsia.

Previously, another Russian Su-25 fighter jet was destroyed on June 23 in the Donetsk region.
