Ukrainian FPV drone operators from the 79th Separate Air Assault Tavriiska Brigade said they destroyed a vehicle carrying Russian troops who tried to break into the center of Myrnohrad in Ukraine’s Donetsk region, near Pokrovsk, according to Ukrinform on January 29.
The brigade said five Russian soldiers attempted to use poor weather to drive at speed into the city center, but Ukrainian aerial reconnaissance spotted the movement and passed coordinates to FPV drone crews, which struck the vehicle.
The unit said one Russian soldier was killed, four were wounded, and the vehicle was destroyed.

The brigade said it continues search-and-strike operations in and around Myrnohrad, describing the situation as difficult and saying Russian forces have continued efforts to build up in the central part of the city amid ongoing small-arms fighting, at times using light vehicles to push deeper into the settlement.
Ukrinform added that the 7th Rapid Response Corps of Ukraine’s Air Assault Forces said shooting battles were continuing in the center of Myrnohrad as Russian pressure increased in the north of the city.
Earlier, it was reported that Ukraine’s military was organizing additional logistics routes to supply and evacuate units defending Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad as fighting continued in and around both towns, with forces working to maintain deliveries and evacuations amid difficult conditions around Myrnohrad.
