Ukraine Builds Backup Logistics Network to Sustain Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad Defense

Ukraine’s military is organizing additional logistics routes to supply and evacuate units defending Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad in Donetsk region, according to RBC-Ukraine on December 15.
The outlet cited an update from Ukraine’s Eastern group of forces, stating that the additional routes are being established “for uninterrupted provision of our units with everything necessary and timely evacuation,” as fighting continues in and around both towns.

The outlet described the situation near Myrnohrad as difficult and stated that efforts were underway to maintain deliveries and evacuations.
In an earlier update on the same supply effort, Ukraine’s Operational Command East said: “In Pokrovsk, operations continue to identify, assault and wipe out enemy forces in the urban area. In Myrnohrad, Ukrainian units are holding defensive lines and wiping out the enemy on the approaches to the city.”

The fighting around Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad has drawn competing battlefield claims in recent days, with Russia’s military saying its forces were advancing and targeting Ukrainian troops in Myrnohrad, while Ukraine has repeatedly rejected Russian assertions that Pokrovsk has fallen and said its forces were still fighting in and around both towns.
Earlier, it was reported that Ukraine’s Joint Task Force “East” described close-quarters fighting in Pokrovsk and defensive actions near Myrnohrad, while additional logistics corridors were being established to sustain units in both cities.
