According to Suspilne Sport on March 20, Yaroslava Mahuchikh cleared 2.01 meters on her first attempt to secure the gold medal, while Yuliya Levchenko achieved 1.99 meters to earn silver.
Mahuchikh was the only athlete in the final to successfully clear 2.01 meters, which ultimately determined the outcome. Levchenko shared second place with Nicola Olyslagers and Angelina Topić, who also recorded 1.99 meters.

According to Suspilne Sport, both Ukrainian athletes progressed through the competition without errors in the early stages, securing medal positions as the bar reached 1.96 meters.
Mahuchikh entered the event at 1.93 meters and cleared each height on her first attempt, while Levchenko also maintained a clean series up to 1.93 meters and improved her season-best result to 1.99 meters.

At 2.01 meters, Mahuchikh succeeded on her first attempt, while the remaining finalists were unable to clear the height. After securing the title, she attempted 2.06 meters—the championship record—but did not convert.
According to Suspilne Sport, the result marks Mahuchikh’s second career gold medal at the World Indoor Championships and her fourth overall medal at the event, following previous podium finishes that included gold, silver, and bronze.
Levchenko’s performance represents her first medal at the World Indoor Championships, improving on her previous best result of fifth place in 2018.

The outcome also delivered Ukraine’s 10th gold medal in the history of the World Athletics Indoor Championships and established the country’s first double podium in women’s high jump at the competition.
Earlier, Yaroslava Mahuchikh opened her 2026 season with a victory at the World Athletics Indoor Tour meeting in Karlsruhe, outperforming fellow Ukrainian Yuliia Levchenko in a head-to-head contest.
