Ukrainian marines captured ten Russian soldiers during the clearing of the village of Ivanivka in the Dnipropetrovsk region, the 37th Separate Marine Brigade reported on its official Facebook page on December 11.

The brigade released video footage showing the captured Russian troops, who were discovered during search-and-assault operations inside the settlement.

According to the Marines, the group surrendered after Ukrainian forces stormed a Russian hideout.

Ten soldiers from Russia’s 228th Assault Regiment of the 90th Tank Division laid down their arms, while another five were killed in the ensuing clash.

The brigade said Ukrainian Defense Forces now control the village as of December 10, though approaches to the area and surrounding terrain remain under Ukrainian fire control.

Earlier, two soldiers from the 67th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces managed to capture six Russian soldiers in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
