Ukrainian Special Forces Destroy Russian Sabotage Group on Donetsk Front

On the Donetsk front, operators of the 8th Separate Special Purpose Brigade of Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces, named after Prince Iziaslav Mstyslavych, identified and neutralized a Russian sabotage-reconnaissance group.

The brigade shared the update on Facebook along with video of the operation on November.

“A Special Operations Forces group ‘unraveled’ Russian servicemen! During a special operation, operators of the 8th Special Operations Forces Brigade discovered and destroyed an enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group,” the statement said.

According to the brigade, three Russian servicemen were eliminated. Ukrainian forces additionally captured Russian weapons, communication devices, and documentation.

In a separate engagement, Ukrainian troops eliminated a Russian military intelligence unit operating near the city of Myrnohrad in the Donetsk region, the 7th Rapid Response Corps reported on November 18.

According to the update, the group was part of a second-echelon force moving behind diversionary teams and was tasked with securing the advance of frontline Russian troops. Ukrainian forces detected the unit’s movement and struck it before it could carry out its assignment.

Earlier, Ukrainian troops destroyed another group of Russian combat robots that Moscow had planned to deploy to strengthen its forces on a critical section of the front.

Preliminary analysis indicates that the destroyed systems were robotic platforms used by Russian units to transport ammunition, evacuate wounded personnel, and carry out reconnaissance tasks. Their elimination not only deprived Russian troops of these capabilities but also disrupted an established supply chain that delivered such platforms directly to frontline positions.
