US and Russia to Release Joint Statement on Black Sea Ceasefire Deal Today, CBS News Reports

The United States and Russia are set to release a joint statement on Tuesday morning following negotiations in Saudi Arabia, reportedly aimed at reaching a ceasefire agreement in the Black Sea, CBS News reported, citing sources on March 25.
The statement is expected at 4:00 am Washington time.
While details of the upcoming statement remain undisclosed, CBS News reports that a US technical team in Riyadh has provided positive assessments of the talks to the administration of Donald Trump. Ukrainian representatives have also been briefed on the discussions.
A White House source told Reuters that negotiations in Riyadh are making progress, adding that a “positive announcement” is expected soon.
Earlier, the US State Department indicated that Ukraine and Russia are closer than ever to reaching a full ceasefire after three years of war.
State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce stated during a briefing that negotiations have made significant progress, bringing both sides to the brink of an agreement.
“This is what’s fascinating. We’ve never been closer, a breath away from full ceasefire,” Bruce said.
