The US is preparing to announce an additional military package for Ukraine in the amount of $125 million, as reported by AP citing US officials.
The new military aid package is expected to include air defense missiles, munitions for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS), Javelins and an array of other anti-armor missiles, counter-drone and counter-electronic warfare systems and equipment, 155mm and 105mm artillery ammunition, vehicles and other.
The official announcement could be released on Friday, August 24, on Ukraine’s Independence Day.
The package will be coming amidst Ukraine’s operation in Russia’s Kursk Region. Ukraine officially announced carrying out an operation in the Kursk region on August 12.
