On February 6, Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces released footage confirming the successful detection and destruction of a Russian BM-21 Grad multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) in the Luhansk region.
Operators from the 412th “NEMESIS” Regiment showcased their precision by striking the Grad while it was moving at high speed. Targeting and eliminating MLRS units is particularly challenging, as they typically employ a “hit-and-run” strategy—firing from one location before quickly relocating to a safer position, often tens of kilometers away.
“Hunting down MLRS systems is never easy, as the enemy relies on mobility to avoid detection,” Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces stated. “However, with effective reconnaissance and careful planning, we can successfully neutralize these high-value targets.”
The attack was carried out using a bomber drone, which struck the Grad while it was in motion.
Previously, the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, together with the 'Nemesis' unit of the Unmanned Systems Forces, destroyed a Russian howitzer.
