On September 23 Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, where they had a discussion without interpreters.

This was stated by the Press Secretary of the President of Ukraine, Serhii Nykyforov, during the national telethon.

"The leaders decided to hold it in a full tête-à-tête format, even without translators, absolutely behind closed doors," Nykyforov said. "They chose this format, and nothing public can be taken out of this meeting," Zelensky's spokesman added.

Zelenskyy wrote a brief comment regarding his meeting with Scholz.

“Talked about how to make a just peace closer. The main thing is to maintain unity. Our Peace Formula is designed to do just that, and we had a successful first Peace Summit,” adding that Ukraine is already preparing for the second Peace Summit.

Zelenskyy is set to have two meetings with his American counterpart Joe Biden during his current visit to the US, where he is going to

Ukraine's Victory Plan.
