Zelenskyy Announces April 23 Ceasefire Talks in London With US, UK, and France

On April 21, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that representatives from Ukraine, the United Kingdom, France, and the United States will meet in London on April 23 to continue discussions on achieving a peaceful resolution to Russia’s ongoing full-scale war against Ukraine.
The statement followed a conversation between President Zelenskyy and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, which the Ukrainian President described as “good and detailed.”
“We’re ready to move forward constructively toward an unconditional ceasefire and the establishment of real, lasting peace,” Zelenskyy said.
He emphasized that an unconditional ceasefire must be the first step toward peace, adding: “This Easter made it clear that it is Russia’s actions that are delaying the end of the war.”
The President also thanked international partners for their continued support and noted that he and Prime Minister Starmer had discussed cooperation within broader European security frameworks.
“Thank you, Britain,” Zelenskyy added.
Previously, it was reported that Russian leader Vladimir Putin acknowledged that Russian forces struck a civilian facility in the Ukrainian city of Sumy, but claimed the target was being used for military purposes.
