Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the recent military operations conducted by the United States and Israel against the Iranian regime.
While welcoming the actions, the President emphasized that the opportunity for transformation within Iran must be managed carefully. It is "important that this chance for change for Iran is used correctly," he noted on March 1.

The President spoke about the long-standing struggles of the Iranian people, stating that they have been “virtually alone against violence—against the Iranian regime” for a long time.
Zelenskyy highlighted the actions of the leadership in Tehran, noting that the regime has killed tens of thousands of its own citizens in recent months.
He also pointed to Iran's role in organizing regional wars and its direct involvement in Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine through the provision of Shahed drones and manufacturing technology. According to Zelenskyy, these actions defined how the world views the regime.
In his evening address on March 1, Zelenskyy called for a unified global stance focused on supporting human life and stability. He stated that it is "important that there is a clear position of support for people and life.”

He further expressed his hope that "American resolve, the resolve of everyone in the world, truly works." The President also shared his gratitude for those working to prevent the expansion of the war and protecting others from Iranian strikes.
Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy officially supported the joint military intervention by the United States and Israel against Iranian strategic targets. In a video address, he characterized the strikes as a fair response to the long-standing military cooperation between Tehran and Moscow, which had devastated Ukrainian infrastructure over the previous four years.
Zelenskyy emphasized that the Iranian regime had evolved into a primary technological partner for the Kremlin, supplying over 57,000 Shahed drones used to target Ukrainian civilians and the national energy grid.
He concluded that neutralizing the regime's military capabilities was a necessary step to ensure global security and provide the Iranian people with a chance to rid themselves of a terrorist government.
