On April 4, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with journalists to discuss the ongoing efforts of the potential support from foreign military contingents in Ukraine. The Coalition of the Willing , which unites several countries, is prepared to offer assistance as Ukraine continues to face challenges from Russian aggression.

Zelenskyy mentioned that over the coming weeks, representatives from the coalition will meet regularly to discuss the parameters of such a mission.

“On Friday, military representatives from the United Kingdom and France were in Kyiv, and on the Ukrainian side, the meeting included Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi, Chief of the General Staff Andriy Hnatov, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Pavlo Palisa, and Deputy Minister of Defense Yevhen Moisiuk,” Zelenskyy said during the briefing.

Zelenskyy further added that he expects a clearer understanding of the mission’s infrastructure from the coalition partners within the next month.

“We are discussing the presence on the ground, in the sky, and at sea, as well as air defense. There are some delicate matters as well. We will meet regularly, and I believe we will meet every week at the military level. The specifics of locations and other details are being discussed separately,” Zelenskyy said.

The President also pointed out that partners already have a strong understanding of Ukraine’s needs, particularly in sensitive geographical areas where Ukraine seeks additional support.

Previously, it was reported that the United Kingdom has announced a new meeting of the “Coalition of the Willing” in support of Ukraine, scheduled to take place on April 10 at NATO headquarters in Brussels.
