Zelenskyy Confirms Visit to Poland on Friday, Highlights Key Bilateral Ties

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine would not delay a planned visit to Poland after the Polish side proposed holding it on Friday, underscoring the importance of maintaining close bilateral ties, according to Zelenskyy on December 14.

The president said Ukraine remained “very grateful to Poland for its support,” describing good neighborly relations with Warsaw as “very important” for Kyiv. He added that Poland had offered Friday for his visit and said Ukraine would proceed without postponement.

“For us it is very important to maintain relations between us and Poland,” Zelenskyy said.

Earlier, it was reported that Poland’s President Karol Nawrocki argued there can be no agreements with Russia and publicly said he was waiting to host President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Warsaw.
