Zelenskyy: Germany, Norway to Back Ukraine With Three Patriot Systems

During a media briefing on July 10 at the International Ukraine Recovery Conference in Rome, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Germany is prepared to fund two Patriot air defense systems for Ukraine, with Norway committing to finance another.
“Other countries are ready to help and are waiting for the manufacturer’s capacity,” Zelenskyy said, highlighting growing international efforts to support Ukraine’s defense capabilities.

The President also addressed the escalating use of drones by Russia in its ongoing attacks.
“Russia plans to launch 700 to 1,000 drones per day,” Zelenskyy warned. “With such attacks, Putin aims to destabilize our society. If our partners hear us, we’ll intercept them all using drone interceptors.”
Zelenskyy noted that Ukrainian engineers have developed drone interceptors, but their mass production requires financial support. According to him, Russia is attempting to destabilize Ukrainian society through prolonged air raid sirens and continuous attacks. At the same time, he emphasized that Ukraine "will respond."
Previously, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Washington hopes to persuade some NATO allies to transfer Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine.
