Ukraine now conducts nearly all of its long-range precision strikes using domestically developed weapons, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said during a meeting with journalists on October 28.

“From Europe’s long-range weapons, we use only Storm Shadow in normal quantities and a smaller number of SCALP missiles. We don’t have any other European long-range systems,” Zelenskyy said. “Overall, about 90–95% of our long-range strikes are carried out with our own weapons.”

The president also confirmed the combat use of Ukraine’s newly developed missile systems, “Flamingo” and “Ruta.” “‘Flamingo’ has been used in combat. ‘Ruta’ too,” he said.

“We’re doing everything to move from one or two test launches to a much larger, systematic effort. We believe we’ll succeed—and we’re working toward that.”

Zelenskyy said the latest Ukrainian systems have already demonstrated “effective results” in multiple operations, calling them “strong stories” that show the country’s growing self-reliance in high-precision weapon production.

Earlier, Russian Telegram channels claimed that Ukraine used its domestically produced FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles in recent strikes against targets inside Russia.
