“There is a good pace now in preparing the decision to strengthen our air defense,” he said, adding that he was grateful for Norway’s support and willingness to help protect Ukraine from continued Russian attacks.
Zelenskyy emphasized that increasing pressure on Russia through coordinated sanctions is another top priority.
He noted the importance of Norway’s principled stance and said it was critical for maintaining unity across Europe. “We must also become more responsive in joint sanctions pressure on Russia alongside our partners,” he said, pointing to upcoming EU sanctions packages and decisions by other G7 nations.

The leaders also discussed energy security, with Zelenskyy confirming that Ukraine and Norway already have concrete agreements in place to prepare for the winter. “Norway is ready to continue its support,” he said.
Earlier, Zelenskyy announced that Germany is prepared to fund two Patriot air defense systems for Ukraine, with Norway committing to finance another.
“Other countries are ready to help and are waiting for the manufacturer’s capacity,” Zelenskyy said, highlighting growing international efforts to support Ukraine’s defense capabilities.\
