Zelenskyy: Russia Restructuring Its System to Be Ready for War Anytime

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy highlighted the findings of Ukraine’s intelligence regarding Russia’s intentions toward other countries during his evening address on September 16.
“There are no friendly intentions in Russia, to put it mildly. The system there is being rebuilt to accommodate the possibility of war at any moment and against any opponent. This can only be countered by sanctions—strong sanctions from the world—and our long-range capabilities,” Zelenskyy stated.
He also emphasized the significant impact of recent Ukrainian strikes on Russia’s oil infrastructure, which have severely disrupted the fuel sector and hindered military capabilities.

“We have significantly restricted Russia’s oil industry, which directly limits their ability to wage war,” Zelenskyy said. “Russia’s war is essentially a function of oil, gas, and all other energy resources.”
Zelenskyy expressed gratitude toward Ukrainian drone operators and manufacturers for their precision and contribution to the country’s defense efforts.
“Thank you for the accuracy of the Ukrainian drone operators, and thank you to our manufacturers of both drones and missiles,” he added. “It feels like the Ukrainian industry is gaining momentum.”
Previously, it was reported that Russia’s state-owned oil pipeline monopoly, Transneft, has warned oil producers that they may need to scale back output following a series of Ukrainian drone attacks on critical export ports and refineries.
