Zelenskyy Says Trump Discussed Ukraine’s 20-Point Peace Plan With Putin

US President Donald Trump discussed each of the 20 proposed peace plan points with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said while talking to journalists on December 29.
According to Zelenskyy, Trump told him that Putin had expressed readiness regarding the plan. The Ukrainian president said he would not disclose details at this stage but stressed that Kyiv remains cautious given Russia’s past behavior.

“And he (Trump – ed.) said that Putin is ready. I don’t want to go into details right now. But I told the president that it is very important for us, this is not the first time that Putin says one thing and does another,” Zelenskyy said.
“It is important for us that words match actions,” he continued.
Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine will judge any progress not by declarations but by real steps on the ground.
Previously, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he had proposed extending US security guarantees for Ukraine to a period of 30 to 50 years during discussions with US President Donald Trump.
