Daily Update: Russia Loses 1,130 Troops, 65 Artillery Systems, and 5 Tanks in One Day

Russian forces lost an estimated 1,130 troops, five tanks, and 65 artillery systems over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s General Staff reported on August 5.
Russia’s total estimated personnel losses since launching its full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, have now reached approximately 1,452,880 troops killed or wounded.

Ukraine also reported the destruction of five armored combat vehicles, two multiple launch rocket systems, two air defense systems, 10 UGVs, 1,715 operational-tactical UAVs, 449 vehicles and fuel tankers, and three pieces of special equipment.

Russia’s cumulative equipment losses now stand at 12,242 tanks, 25,084 armored combat vehicles, 47,396 artillery systems, 2,002 multiple launch rocket systems, 1,540 air defense systems, 439 aircraft, 354 helicopters, 2,134 UGVs, 444,455 operational-tactical UAVs, 5,007 cruise missiles, 34 ships and boats, two submarines, 130,266 vehicles and fuel tankers, and 4,495 pieces of special equipment.
Ukraine’s General Staff recorded 259 combat engagements between Ukrainian and Russian forces over the past day.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukrainian drones inflicted 30,272 video-confirmed Russian personnel losses along the front in July.
