Daily Update: Russia Loses 1,310 Troops, 3 Tanks, and 51 Artillery Systems

Russian forces suffered an estimated 1,310 personnel casualties and lost three tanks and 51 artillery systems over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s General Staff reported on August 13.

The latest figures bring Russia’s total estimated personnel losses since the start of its full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, to approximately 1,462,970.

According to the General Staff, Russian forces also lost three armored combat vehicles, one multiple launch rocket system, one air defense system, 12 UGVs, and 1,634 operational-tactical UAVs during the reporting period.

Ukraine additionally reported the destruction of 474 vehicles and fuel tankers and six pieces of special equipment.

Russia’s cumulative equipment losses are now estimated at 12,262 tanks, 25,130 armored combat vehicles, 47,824 artillery systems, 2,023 multiple launch rocket systems, 1,562 air defense systems, 439 aircraft, 354 helicopters, 2,215 UGVs, 457,973 operational-tactical UAVs, 5,007 cruise missiles, 34 ships and boats, two submarines, 133,405 vehicles and fuel tankers, and 4,522 pieces of special equipment.

Ukraine’s General Staff recorded 204 combat engagements between Ukrainian and Russian forces over the past 24 hours.

The heaviest fighting was reported in the Pokrovsk and Sloviansk sectors, which remained the most active areas of the front during the reporting period.

Earlier, reports emerged that Russian forces suffered 42,860 personnel losses in July, making it the highest monthly figure since January 2025.
