Daily Update: Russia Loses 1,370 Troops, Helicopter, and 4 Tanks in One Day

Russian forces suffered an estimated 1,370 personnel casualties and lost one helicopter, four tanks, and 65 artillery systems over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s General Staff reported on July 17.
Russia’s total estimated personnel losses since the start of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, have now reached approximately 1,425,990 troops killed or wounded.

Ukraine also reported the destruction of six armored combat vehicles, seven multiple launch rocket systems, four air defense systems, 13 UGVs, 1,879 operational-tactical UAVs, three cruise missiles, 489 vehicles and fuel tankers, and four pieces of special equipment.

Russia’s cumulative equipment losses now stand at 12,148 tanks, 24,946 armored combat vehicles, 46,084 artillery systems, 1,943 multiple launch rocket systems, 1,496 air defense systems, 437 aircraft, 354 helicopters, 1,932 UGVs, 412,884 operational-tactical UAVs, 4,909 cruise missiles, 34 ships and boats, two submarines, 121,216 vehicles and fuel tankers, and 4,424 pieces of special equipment.
Ukraine’s General Staff recorded 249 combat engagements between Ukrainian and Russian forces over the past day.
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi previously stated that Russia is losing more than 400 troops for every square kilometer of territory it captures in Ukraine’s eastern Donetsk region.
