Daily Update: Russia Loses 1,390 Troops, 80 Artillery Systems, and 8 MLRS in One Day

Russian forces lost an estimated 1,390 troops, 80 artillery systems, and eight multiple launch rocket systems over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s General Staff reported on August 3.

Russia’s total estimated personnel losses since launching its full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, have now reached approximately 1,450,510.

Ukraine also reported the destruction of one tank, five armored combat vehicles, four air defense systems, four UGVs, 1,657 operational-tactical UAVs, 485 vehicles and fuel tankers, and six pieces of special equipment.

Russia’s cumulative equipment losses now stand at 12,232 tanks, 25,075 armored combat vehicles, 47,276 artillery systems, 1,996 multiple launch rocket systems, 1,533 air defense systems, 439 aircraft, 354 helicopters, 2,112 UGVs, 440,948 operational-tactical UAVs, 5,007 cruise missiles, 34 ships and boats, two submarines, 129,438 vehicles and fuel tankers, and 4,492 pieces of special equipment.

Ukraine’s General Staff recorded 207 combat engagements across the front over the past day.

Russian forces carried out 94 airstrikes, dropping 296 guided aerial bombs. They also deployed 10,573 strike drones and conducted 3,336 attacks on Ukrainian positions and populated areas, including 31 using multiple launch rocket systems.

Ukraine’s missile forces and artillery struck four Russian UAV command posts, eight artillery pieces, seven areas where troops were concentrated, and five command posts.

Previously, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy revealed that Russia has suffered approximately 1.6 million military casualties since launching its full-scale war of aggression against Ukraine, including about 700,000 troops killed.
