Daily Update: Russia Loses 1,900 Troops, 36 Artillery Systems in One Day

Russia lost an estimated 1,900 troops and 36 artillery systems over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s General Staff reported on October 1.

According to the latest Ukrainian military figures, Russia’s total personnel losses since the start of its full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, have reached approximately 1,535,870.

Russian forces also lost one armored combat vehicle over the latest reporting period, bringing the cumulative total to 25,464. No additional tank losses were recorded, leaving that figure at 12,388.

Another 36 artillery systems were recorded as lost, raising Russia’s estimated cumulative total to 50,555.

Ukraine also reported three multiple-launch rocket systems and one air defense system lost over the past day, bringing those totals to 2,174 and 1,683, respectively.

Russia’s estimated aviation losses remained unchanged at 443 aircraft and 356 helicopters.

The General Staff recorded another 14 unmanned ground systems lost, raising the cumulative figure in that category to 2,803.

Operational-tactical UAV losses increased by 1,288 to an estimated 541,383, while five additional cruise missiles brought Russia’s total in that category to 5,126.

Another 524 vehicles and fuel tankers were recorded as lost over the past 24 hours, bringing the cumulative total to 155,887. Ukraine also reported four pieces of special equipment lost, raising that figure to 4,774.

Russia’s estimated naval losses remain at 35 ships and boats and two submarines.

Fighting across the front remained intense, with Ukrainian forces recording 209 combat engagements during the latest reporting period.

Earlier, Ukraine recorded the highest reported daily casualty total of Russian troops since the start of the full-scale invasion, with 2,090 soldiers killed or wounded over a 24-hour period.
