Daily Update: Russia Loses 1,440 Troops, 71 Artillery Systems in One Day

Russia lost an estimated 1,440 troops, four tanks and 71 artillery systems over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s General Staff reported on September 1.
According to the latest Ukrainian military figures, Russia’s total personnel losses since the start of its full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, have reached approximately 1,489,640.

Russian forces also lost two armored combat vehicles over the latest reporting period, bringing cumulative losses to 12,320 tanks and 25,257 armored combat vehicles.
Russia’s estimated artillery losses have climbed to 48,954 systems after another 71 were recorded over the past day. Total losses of multiple-launch rocket systems remain at 2,079, while air defense system losses stand at 1,597.

Estimated Russian aviation losses remain unchanged at 440 aircraft and 354 helicopters.
The General Staff also reported the loss of 10 unmanned ground systems, bringing Russia’s cumulative total in that category to 2,452.
Another 1,775 operational-tactical UAVs were recorded as lost over the past 24 hours, raising the overall figure to 492,177.
Russia’s other estimated losses stand at 5,060 cruise missiles, 35 ships and boats, two submarines, 142,332 vehicles and fuel tankers, and 4,623 pieces of special equipment. Over the latest reporting period, Russian forces lost another 412 vehicles and fuel tankers and two pieces of special equipment.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian and Russian forces clashed 210 times across the front over the previous day.
Russia carried out 93 airstrikes, dropping 319 guided aerial bombs, according to the General Staff. Russian forces also deployed 10,947 strike drones and conducted 2,872 strikes against Ukrainian positions and populated areas.
Previously, Russian leader Vladimir Putin signed an order to expand the core personnel of the Federal Protective Service, marking the fourth increase since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
Under the updated decree, the maximum staff allowance for the central office of the agency increases from 785 to 812 people.
