Five Russian Fuel Tankers Reportedly Destroyed in Ukrainian Attack on Luhansk

Ukraine's Defense Forces struck a parking area holding Russian military fuel tankers in temporarily occupied Luhansk overnight between July 22 and July 23, according to the ATESH partisan movement.
The claim was published on the movement's Telegram channel on July 24 and attributed to one of its agents serving inside Russia's armed forces.

Five tankers were standing at the impact site, according to the post. ATESH claimed the vehicles were awaiting dispatch to supply Russia's 15th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade, deployed on the Donetsk axis.
The tankers never reached their destination, the movement wrote, leaving the brigade without the fuel it had been waiting for. ATESH added that agents drawn from local residents had previously reported strikes in the Luhansk area.
"Our agents continue to work and to record the movement, concentration, and parking of Russian equipment even when the enemy tries to conceal it from reconnaissance. No column carrying fuel or ammunition will go unnoticed," the movement declared in the same post.
Tanker trucks form the final link in Russia's fuel supply chain, carrying diesel and gasoline from rear depots to formations operating near the front. Motorized rifle units depend on them for vehicle movement, generator power, and resupply runs.
ATESH is a partisan movement formed by Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars after the start of Russia's full-scale invasion, operating in occupied territory and inside Russian military structures.
It publishes reconnaissance and sabotage claims through its Telegram channel, frequently centered on Russian fuel, rail, and rear-area supply networks.
Earlier, on July 12, drone operators from Ukraine's 1st Azov Corps struck a concealed fuel logistics hub inside a cement plant in temporarily occupied Novoamvrosiivka, Donetsk region, hitting storage tanks and the rail line serving the site.
Fuel had been moved onward by tanker trucks disguised as civilian vehicles. On July 20 and overnight into July 21, an ammunition depot at Kundriuche in the occupied Luhansk region and a military logistics depot at Davydivske in the Donetsk region were also hit.
