According to ARX Robotics on May 6, the agreement comes as Ukraine accelerates the deployment of unmanned ground systems to reduce risks for personnel and automate logistics operations near the front line.

The company stated that the GEREON platforms will primarily be used for logistics, casualty evacuation, cargo transport, and other support missions that would otherwise expose soldiers to danger.

ARX Robotics said hundreds of its systems are already operating in Ukraine or have been ordered for delivery, making the company what it describes as the largest Western supplier of unmanned ground vehicles to Ukraine.

The company also announced plans to expand production capacity both in Ukraine and at facilities in other locations to meet growing demand and speed up deliveries.

In addition to the deliveries, ARX Robotics said it is increasing field support by providing operator training and on-site technical servicing for Ukrainian military units.

According to the company, the modular GEREON series is designed to support multiple mission configurations and can be adapted depending on battlefield requirements.

“We are seeing a clear shift in modern combat operations: unmanned ground systems are no longer niche capabilities, but are becoming a central component of frontline logistics,” ARX Robotics CEO and co-founder Marc Wietfeld said in a statement released by the company.

ARX Ukraine CEO Ihor Kornilov said continued cooperation with Ukraine’s Defense Forces allows the company to rapidly adapt its systems based on battlefield feedback and operational needs.

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine plans to contract at least 50,000 unmanned ground vehicles in 2026 as Kyiv accelerates the shift toward robotic battlefield logistics, casualty evacuation, and support operations.
