Russia Loses 1,320 Troops, 4 Tanks, and Over 2,000 Drones in One Day

Russian forces lost another 1,320 troops, four tanks, and 53 artillery systems over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s General Staff reported on July 12.

According to the latest figures, Russia’s total estimated personnel losses since the start of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, have reached approximately 1,419,090.

Ukraine’s military also reported the destruction of six armored combat vehicles, four multiple launch rocket systems, 15 ground robotic systems, 2,034 operational-tactical UAVs, two cruise missiles, 428 vehicles and fuel tankers, and five pieces of special equipment over the past day.

Overall Russian losses reported by Ukraine now include 12,120 tanks, 24,928 armored combat vehicles, 45,807 artillery systems, 1,928 multiple launch rocket systems, 1,485 air defense systems, 437 aircraft, 353 helicopters, 1,883 ground robotic systems, 403,959 operational-tactical UAVs, 4,889 cruise missiles, 33 ships and boats, two submarines, 119,038 vehicles and fuel tankers, and 4,407 pieces of special equipment.

Ukraine’s General Staff said 260 combat engagements were recorded along the front line over the past day, with the heaviest fighting in the Pokrovsk direction, where Ukrainian defenders repelled 44 Russian assaults, and in the Huliaipole direction, where Russian forces launched 13 attacks.

Over the same period, Russia carried out two missile strikes using nine missiles, 88 airstrikes dropping 244 guided aerial bombs, launched 8,866 attack drones, and conducted 3,062 strikes on Ukrainian positions and settlements, including 44 using multiple launch rocket systems.

Meanwhile, Ukraine’s Air Force, missile troops, and artillery struck 15 Russian troop concentration areas, four artillery systems, and one additional military target, according to the General Staff.

Earlier, Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck the Kalmiuske military training ground in occupied Donetsk region, Russian drone command posts in Belgorod and occupied Zaporizhzhia regions, and troop concentrations in Donetsk and Russia’s Kursk region. The General Staff also released updated damage assessments from recent long-range strikes targeting Russian military-industrial and energy infrastructure.
