Russian forces struck a hospital in central Kherson with a drone on November 2, just hours after a temporary ceasefire established for a humanitarian evacuation operation ended.

This was reported by Ukrinform on November 2, citing Yaroslav Shanko, head of the Kherson City Military Administration.

"At around 7:40 a.m., Russian terrorist forces attacked central Kherson with a drone," Shanko wrote on Facebook.

The drone hit a medical facility, damaging several rooms and shattering windows and interior doors. According to preliminary information, no one was injured in the hospital strike, although officials were still assessing the damage.

The city administration also warned that Russian forces were resuming what Ukrainian defenders described as "free hunting" of vehicles using fiber-optic-guided drones. Officials reported Russian FPV drones, Mavic reconnaissance drones, and Molniya attack drones operating in the Kherson community.

Shanko also reported that Russian artillery and drone attacks had struck Kherson and Antonivka over the previous day, damaging residential buildings and injuring two people.

The attack followed the end of a temporary ceasefire introduced on October 27 to facilitate the evacuation of civilians from temporarily occupied Oleshky, across the Dnipro River from Kherson.

The arrangement expired at 10:59 p.m. on November 1. Ukraine's General Staff reported on November 2 that Russian forces had exploited the humanitarian pause to rotate troops, reinforce defensive positions, restore artillery capabilities, and replenish ammunition supplies.

Drone footage published by Sky News on November 1 also documented Russian military equipment and personnel movements during the ceasefire, which enabled hundreds of civilians to leave occupied Oleshky on October 31.
