Russian Airstrike on Kramatorsk Injures 22 After Bomb Hits Apartment Building

A Russian airstrike on the eastern Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk injured 22 civilians after munitions struck a residential building in the city center, the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office reported on August 4.

According to prosecutors, Russian forces attacked the city at approximately 10:17 a.m. local time, using FAB-250 guided aerial bombs equipped with a universal planning and correction module.
One of the bombs hit a residential apartment building in central Kramatorsk.
Among the injured are men aged 22, 37, 43, 61, 75, and 76, as well as women between the ages of 18 and 74, prosecutors said. All of the victims are receiving medical treatment.
Officials said the full extent of the damage is still being established.
The attack came the same day that a separate Russian airstrike on the northeastern city of Sumy killed three civilians, including two girls aged 5 and 10, and a 75-year-old woman.
According to Sumy Regional Military Administration Head Oleh Hryhorov, emergency responders recovered the bodies of the two children from the rubble of their destroyed home.
Russian forces launched six guided aerial bombs at civilian infrastructure across the city during the attack, while Ukrainian air defenses intercepted two additional bombs before they reached their targets.
