Explosions were reported overnight in the Moscow region city of Naro-Fominsk after drones reportedly targeted a Russian military logistics facility, according to the OSINT community Exilenova+ and Russian outlet Astra on May 7.

Local residents reported hearing explosions and observing air defense activity near a military site in the city. Videos shared on social media appeared to capture the sounds of blasts echoing across the area during the attack.

Initial reports suggested the target may have been a military unit stationed in Naro-Fominsk. Later reports indicated that the likely target was the “Nara” military logistics complex operated by Russia’s defense ministry.

The facility reportedly occupies more than 180 hectares within Military Town No. 3 in Naro-Fominsk and serves as a major logistics and storage center for the Russian military.

The complex is believed to handle the storage and distribution of military cargo, including equipment, supplies, and food, using automated logistics systems.

Russia’s defense ministry claimed that air defenses allegedly intercepted 347 Ukrainian drones overnight across multiple regions, including the Moscow region.

The reported strike comes amid a growing wave of long-range drone attacks targeting Russian military and logistics infrastructure far from the front line.

Earlier, Ukrainian drones struck a Russian Federal Security Service building in temporarily occupied Armyansk, in northern Crimea. Half of the FSB border guard service headquarters was destroyed after the strike.
