Russian S-300 Resupply Vehicle Was Packed With Missiles—Then Ukraine Found It, Video

Ukrainian forces destroyed a Russian S-300 transport-loading vehicle while it was carrying surface-to-air missiles, triggering a powerful secondary detonation that completely burned out the vehicle, the 15th Separate Artillery Reconnaissance Brigade “Black Forest” reported on August 21.
The brigade released footage of the strike, showing the destruction of the missile-loaded support vehicle belonging to Russia’s S-300 air defense system.

According to the unit, Ukrainian reconnaissance personnel located the Russian transport-loader and subsequently struck it.
At the time of the hit, the vehicle was loaded with guided surface-to-air missiles. The impact caused the missiles to detonate, producing a massive explosion before the vehicle was completely consumed by fire.
“We continue knocking out Russia’s air defenses: Black Forest fighters found and destroyed an enemy S-300 transport-loading vehicle loaded with missiles, whose detonation caused the vehicle to burn out completely,” the brigade said.
The transport-loading vehicle is not itself an S-300 launcher, but it plays an important role in keeping the air defense system operational by carrying replacement missiles used to reload its launchers.
Destroying the vehicle while it was fully loaded therefore eliminated both a key logistical component of the S-300 system and the missiles it was carrying in a single strike.
Previously, Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck several Russian military targets in temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories and Russia’s Belgorod and Kursk regions, including a Buk-M3 air defense system, supply depots, a command-and-observation post, and six UAV control points.
