Ukraine’s General Staff reported on August 11 that Ukrainian forces hit a Russian Buk-M3 surface-to-air missile system near Topol in Luhansk region.
The Buk-M3 is among Russia’s most advanced mobile surface-to-air missile systems. It can engage targets at altitudes of up to 35 kilometers and detect and track them at ranges of up to 70 kilometers. A fully equipped Buk-M3 system is estimated to be worth approximately $45 million.
Ukrainian forces also struck a Russian command-and-observation post near Terebreno in Russia’s Belgorod region, as well as logistics depots in Rovenky, Luhansk region.

On August 10, the strikes also targeted six Russian UAV control points. They were located near Shevchenko Pershe, Komar, and Veselyi in Donetsk region; Khodyakovka in Russia’s Kursk region; and Zaliznychne and Nesteryanka in Zaporizhzhia region.
The General Staff said that strikes against targets of this level significantly reduce the combat capabilities of Russian forces across several operational directions.

Separately, Ukraine destroyed one of Russia’s newer electronic warfare systems designed to disrupt Starlink communications. Ukrainian OSINT channel Exilenova+ and pro-Russian military channels reported on August 8 that a Volna Kupol Garant complex at a Russian military facility in Gelendzhik had been struck.
The system was deployed at Russian military unit No. 2156 and was hit on August 7. Satellite imagery released by Ukrainian OSINT analysts later showed damage at the site.
