Ukraine Hits Russian Oil Refinery, Military Facilities and Logistics Sites in Overnight Strikes

Ukrainian forces struck several Russian military and energy facilities overnight on August 10, including the Taneco oil refinery in Nizhnekamsk, Tatarstan, as part of efforts to reduce Russia’s military potential, according to the a statement by General Staff.
A fire was reported at the facility following the strike. The extent of the damage is currently being assessed.

Ukrainian forces also struck several Russian military targets in occupied Ukrainian territories, the statement said.
A Russian repair unit in Khrustalnyi, Luhansk region, was hit, while Ukrainian forces also targeted a logistics warehouse in Novoselidivka, Donetsk region.
In addition, a field artillery depot in Boikove, Donetsk region, was struck.
The statement also provided updates on the results of previous Ukrainian strikes against Russian military and energy infrastructure.
Following the August 8 strike on the Ilsky oil refinery in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai, Ukrainian forces confirmed damage to the AVT-6 primary oil refining column.
The military also confirmed the destruction of nine horizontal aviation fuel tanks and damage to two aircraft hangars following the August 3 strike on the Hvardiiske airfield in temporarily occupied Crimea.
Separately, Ukraine’s military intelligence struck two Russian S-400 Triumf air defense launchers and an antenna used to control Orion drones in temporarily occupied Crimea, using Magura naval platforms equipped with FPV drones.
The operation was carried out by specialists from the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine’s Group 13 unit in early August 2026, HUR said on August 10. According to the agency, the estimated value of the Russian equipment destroyed or damaged in the strike could reach tens of millions of dollars.
