“The children were diagnosed with acoustic trauma and acute stress reactions. All three were hospitalized. Among the adults, a woman suffered an acute stress reaction. A man sustained thermal burns, a shrapnel wound, and a cut to his foot. He was also hospitalized,” Tkachenko said.

The attack also caused damage to residential property in the district. Tkachenko said one private house was destroyed and another was damaged, while a vehicle was also affected.

“Rescuers continue to work at the scene. The fire has now been extinguished,” the SES said.

The attack in the Fastiv district came a day after another Russian strike targeted the Kyiv region, including the Ukrainian capital. Russian forces carried out an overnight missile attack on Kyiv on September 17, injuring 20 people, including two children, and damaging buildings and infrastructure across several districts.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that five of those injured were hospitalized in city medical facilities.
