Daily Update: Russia Loses 1,420 Troops, 5 Tanks and 43 Artillery Systems in One Day

Russian forces lost approximately 1,420 personnel over the past day, along with 75 artillery systems and 1,808 operational-tactical UAVs.

According to Ukraine’s General Staff, Russia’s overall personnel losses since the start of its full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, were estimated at approximately 1,514,910.

The latest daily update also recorded the loss of five Russian tanks and seven armored combat vehicles, bringing the cumulative totals to 12,351 tanks and 25,352 armored combat vehicles.

Ukraine’s General Staff further reported that Russian forces lost 75 artillery systems, three multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS), and one air defense system over the past 24 hours. Total losses in these categories have now reached 49,938 artillery systems, 2,142 MLRS, and 1,646 air defense systems.

Recorded losses of Russian aircraft and helicopters remained unchanged at 442 and 356, respectively.

Drone losses accounted for another significant share of the latest figures, with 1,808 operational-tactical UAVs recorded as lost in a single day. This brought Russia’s cumulative UAV losses to 522,316. The General Staff also reported the loss of 12 unmanned ground vehicles, raising the total to 2,656, while cruise missile losses remained at 5,111.

Russian forces also lost 424 vehicles and fuel tankers and four pieces of special equipment, bringing their cumulative totals to 150,442 and 4,701, respectively. Naval losses remained unchanged at 35 ships and boats and two submarines.

At the same time, intense fighting continued across the frontline, with Ukrainian forces reporting 230 combat clashes during the latest reporting period.

As drone warfare remains a major component of frontline operations, Ukraine’s 3rd Army Corps recently reported that its electronic warfare units disrupted more than 20,000 Russian drone missions during Operation Vivaldi, an offensive conducted in the northern Donetsk region.
