Russian Strikes Kill Three Across Ukraine as Zelenskyy Urges Faster Arms Deliveries

Russian guided aerial bomb, drone, and missile strikes hit residential neighborhoods across Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Odesa regions, killing at least three civilians and injuring at least 13 more, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported on July 21.
In Zaporizhzhia, a Russian aerial bomb struck a multi-story residential building, igniting fires from the first through the seventh floors.

Emergency teams, including medics and rescue workers, deployed to the site to assist residents, where at least two people were confirmed dead and multiple others sustained injuries, Zelenskyy reported.
Russian forces simultaneously executed aerial bombardments across Kherson and Odesa, the president noted. In Kherson, a combination of guided bombs and various unmanned aerial vehicles—including FPV drones—killed one person and injured two others.
Meanwhile, a missile hit a public park in Odesa alongside jet-powered drone attacks that damaged a four-story apartment building, while three residential homes were damaged in the surrounding region.
Addressing the aftermath of the attacks, Zelenskyy reiterated the need for sustained international defense support and urged the European Union to adopt its 21st sanctions package against Moscow without delay.
The Ukrainian president stressed that military hardware requested by front-line units must be delivered faster by manufacturers, stating that “everything that helps protect life must be implemented as quickly as possible.”
The attack comes shortly after Russian tactical aircraft launched four guided aerial bombs at Zaporizhzhia, destroying a private house and injuring seven people, including a four-year-old girl.
Overall, Ukraine recorded its deadliest month for civilians since April 2022, with United Nations monitors reporting 293 people killed and nearly 2,000 wounded in Russian attacks across the country.
