According to Kiper, one of the wounded was hospitalized following the attack.

At the site of the strike, a fire broke out at a truck parking area, where empty fuel tankers and a gas tanker caught fire. Emergency services quickly extinguished the blaze upon arrival.

Rescue and law enforcement units are currently working at the scene, documenting the consequences of what local officials described as another Russian war crime.

The incident comes amid ongoing Russian drone attacks targeting both infrastructure and residential buildings in Odesa. A Russian overnight drone strike on the southern Ukrainian city on April 6 hit a residential high-rise, killing at least three civilians and injuring more than a dozen others.

The drone impacted a multi-storey apartment block, causing heavy damage between the third and fifth floors, regional authorities reported.

Among the dead were a 30-year-old woman and her two-year-old daughter, as well as a 53-year-old woman, officials said.

Odesa regional governor Oleh Kiper stated that 15 people were injured in the attack, 13 of whom were hospitalized. The wounded include a pregnant woman, two small children—a seven-month-old boy and a two-year-old girl—as well as two teenagers aged 17 and 18.

On June 16, Russian forces also launched a series of drone attacks in Kherson, hitting both a medical vehicle and a passenger minibus in the city’s Korabelnyi district, killing one man and injuring at least six others, according to the Kherson Regional Military Administration.

At around 8 a.m., a Russian drone struck a passenger minibus, killing a man at the scene and sending three passengers to hospital.

Regional authorities said the injured include a 75-year-old woman and two men aged 66 and 64, all of whom suffered concussions, blast injuries, and shrapnel wounds to the torso and limbs.
