Earlier the same day, at around 1:35am local time, a Russian drone targeted an ambulance in the same district. Two paramedics, aged 51 and 62, sustained injuries, including blast-related trauma and closed head injuries. The 51-year-old was hospitalized. Both medics suffered concussions.

A 45-year-old local resident was also injured in the same strike, sustaining blast trauma and shrapnel wounds to the neck and legs. He was admitted to hospital for treatment.

Similar attacks on medical transport have also been reported in other regions of Ukraine. For instance, a Russian drone struck an ambulance in Semenivka, Chernihiv region, while medical staff were returning from an emergency call, leaving two paramedics injured and requiring hospital treatment.

According to the head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, Viacheslav Chaus, the ambulance was hit as it was moving through Semenivka. Two medical workers, aged 47 and 54, were injured and are currently being treated in hospital. The vehicle was also damaged in the attack.

He added that, during the same strike, a local music school was also hit. The drone used in the attack was identified as a Molniya-type unmanned aerial vehicle.

Just a day earlier, Russian forces carried out an overnight strike on Kyiv on June 15, damaging residential buildings, triggering multiple fires, disrupting power supply, and injuring at least one person.

Head of the Kyiv City Military Administration Tymur Tkachenko initially reported that one person had been injured based on preliminary operational data, warning that the threat to the capital was still ongoing.

In an updated statement, Tkachenko said the number of injured had risen to 30, including two children aged five and six. Klitschko later reported that the death toll in the capital had increased to five as a result of the large-scale attack.
